Jerusalem Sabbatical

I originally created my blog to post my reflections on my sabbatical experience in Jerusalem in 2006. I have also used it to post my thoughts and ideas about being a church for the next generation. Now I hope to use it to blog about my third time in Israel, volunteering with Bridges for Peace!

Photos: 1: me with Salim, the bedouin who runs the camp 2: me at the ancient entrance to Avdat 3: Byzantine church that was built here--the open hole in the foreground was the baptismal font, and used to lure Arabs (water draws everyone in the desert!) and to convert them to Christianity 4: floor of the church, with crosses carved into the stone 5: me outside the entrance to one of the cave houses of Avdat
