I'm heading back to Jerusalem! For another volunteer experience with Bridges for Peace. During my previous times there, I blogged about everything I did and everywhere I went. But I've found that this blog site to be more difficult to navigate since blogspot "improved" their site. I'm thinking Facebook will be easier (and even more accessible) for people to see what I'm up to. I'm using this post to try out some various things and see if it's still possible to share what I hope to, with photos, links, and other resources. Here goes:

This was me in Jerusalem in 2006. Except for the glasses, I don't think I've changed a bit!
Here is a link to the BFP website: http://www.bridgesforpeace.com/us/
How many photos can be added to a post now? The limit used to be six. Maybe the improvements allow for more!
About Me
- Name: djohnson
- Location: Hilmar, California, United States
In June of 2015, I will have served Hilmar Covenant Church for 35 years! During this time I have had a number of job titles: Minister of Music, Associate Pastor, Worship Arts Pastor, with other less official references as well. In January 2012, a major change happened in my ministry when I ended my role as weekly worship pastor. After 31 1/2 years, I was ready for a change - and the church was willing to change with me! Now I have responsibity for congregational care and assimilation, missions (both local and global), spiritual formation (prayer, discipleship), and ministries of compassion, mercy, and justice. It's been rejuvenating, and I'm just as excited about ministry now as I was when I first came to Hilmar in 1980.
