Jerusalem Sabbatical

I originally created my blog to post my reflections on my sabbatical experience in Jerusalem in 2006. I have also used it to post my thoughts and ideas about being a church for the next generation. Now I hope to use it to blog about my third time in Israel, volunteering with Bridges for Peace!

New buds alongside one of last year's nuts (it didn't get the "L" knocked out of him!)

A beautiful cluster of blossoms--can't you almost smell 'em? (Click on the photo and see it full size.)

At the height of the bloom, the blossoms are densely packed together like this.

Almond trees--and all fruit trees--are planted in perfect order, straight rows that go on forever.

A glorious spring day in Tornquists' "âmond" orchard! Blue skies, rainbows, the heavy scent of the blossoms--God is good!
